A student who often struggled with connection and following expectations within a classroom has grown so much in the last year. The student has taken advocacy seriously, has been an example to others within the class, and has jumped in as a helper without being asked consistently during the year. It's been a beautiful transition to watch!
Today in about a 30 min time frame I had two students tell me thank you for something I did in the past. Not simply for like giving them a paper or picking something up for them. They thanked me because of the way I made them feel or someway that I had helped them. If you know 12 year old's you understand how impressive this is. It made me feel very good.
I really love having friends that will take time out of their lives to do something really kind for me.
